The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Red Willow County in southwestern Nebraska...
  Northeastern Hitchcock County in southwestern Nebraska...

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 825 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Culbertson,
  or 9 miles west of McCook, moving northeast at 5 mph.

  HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated. The storm has had a history of producing
           hail larger than 2 inches.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northwestern Red Willow and northeastern Hitchcock Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
