Weather Summary for North-Central and Northeast Wisconsin
National Weather Service Green Bay WI
1058 AM CDT Tue Jun 18 2024

Partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions prevailed across the
forecast area during the late morning as a quasi-stationary
boundary approached from the west. Southerly winds gusting to over
30 mph were reported in north-central Wisconsin near Ironwood with
widespread gusts between 25 and 30 mph observed elsewhere. 10 AM
temperatures ranged from the upper 70s near the lakeshore to the
low 80s in the Fox Valley.

Expect heat and humidity to continue building across the region
throughout the day. High temperatures are expected to range from
the upper 70s along the lakeshore to the low 90s in central
Wisconsin. Heat indices in the mid 90s will be possible at times
throughout the afternoon. Southerly winds will also continue to
increase, with gusts up to 35 mph possible across north-central
Wisconsin. If you are heading to the beach today to beat the heat,
be careful of potential rip currents as strong winds drive up
wave heights.

Chances for thunderstorms will return late this evening and
overnight as a cold front sweeps across the area. Best chance for
stronger storms will be across north-central Wisconsin. Gusty
winds and hail will be the main threats with any stronger storms.
Low temperatures are expected to range from the low 60s in the
far north to the low 70s in the Fox Valley.
