.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

A broad area of low pressure over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico
may become a tropical storm as it tracks towards the east central
coast of Mexico late tonight and Thursday morning. Highs winds,
hazardous seas, and above normal coastal water levels are prevalent
well north of this low pressure area. With the exception of
Galveston Bay, a Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect over our
coastal waters. Water levels are running 2 to 4 feet above normal
and anticipate some coastal flooding until we pass the high tide
cycle tonight. Small craft should remain in port until weather
conditions start improving later this week.
