.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

Light to occasionally moderate onshore flow will continue over the
next few days with isolated streamer showers possible. Winds
across the marine area will gradually back from southeast to
northeast by mid week...ahead of a cold front and on the NW fringe
of a large cyclonic circulation developing over the Gulf. The
passage of the cold front...will lead to winds shifting to the
north and increasing...possibly to caution or even advisory
levels by Thursday. As the cold front pushes through...a low
pressure system...likely a tropical storm or hurricane...will be
lifting north across the Eastern Gulf. The track of the storm
should be well east of the marine forecast area...although will
lead some increase in seas due to long period swell being
generated by the hurricane...and will also contribute to the
increase in the north winds.
