The areas affected include... Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20 nm... Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm... Waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 40 nm... Waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC from 20 to 40 nm... At 1021 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 nm southwest of Wr4 to near Mount Dirfy`s Wreck, moving east at 40 knots. Locations impacted include... Wr4 and Mount Dirfy`s Wreck. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes.
