...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN BLADEN AND NORTH
CENTRAL COLUMBUS COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM EDT...

At 643 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Abbottsburg, or 8 miles northwest of Whiteville, moving southeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Whiteville, Hallsboro, Abbottsburg, Lisbon, Redbug, Elkton, Emerson,
Southeastern Community College, Brunswick, Clarkton, and Columbus
Regional Healthcare System.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
