Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
1209 PM EDT Mon Sep 23 2024

.SYNOPSIS...

A weak pressure pattern and light onshore flow continues through
Tuesday. Southeast winds strengthen Tuesday through Wednesday in
response to Potential Tropical Cyclone 9 that is expected to develop
quickly from an area of disturbed weather in the northwestern
Caribbean Sea and then move northward into the eastern Gulf of
Mexico. There is still uncertainty in the scale, intensity and
track of the tropical system as it develops. All of those factors
will influence the local coastal water conditions. At the moment,
Small Craft Advisory conditions are expected to develop by
Wednesday night with tropical storm conditions possible Thursday.
Conditions are expected to improve Friday and through the weekend
as the tropical system rapidly tracks northward.
