.NOW...
Through 830 pm, a band of showers and embedded strong thunderstorms
continues to move mainly east between 10 to 15 knots across the
offshore Gulf waters, western Hawk Channel, the western Straits of
Florida, the western Bayside/Gulfside waters, the Lower Keys, and
Florida Bay. Mariners encountering this activity can expect reduced
visibility to less than 1 mile, especially inside thunderstorm
activity, wind gusts to near or in excess of 30 knots, and occasional
cloud to ground lightning strikes. The stronger activity will be
handled with Special Marine Warnings. On land, expect rainfall
amounts of generally a few hundreths of an inch during the next half
hour to hour with an inch or more of rainfall possible between 730 to
830 pm for the Lower Keys as this line presses through. Also, expect
wind gusts up to near 30 mph, potentially higher which will be
handled with a Special Weather Statement if need be.
