Through 830 pm, isolated showers will continue to develop in the distant Straits of Florida between Key West and Elbow Cay. These showers will move to the northwest at 15 to 20 knots. Elsewhere, a line of showers and possible isolated thunderstorms that moved off of Cuba will push northward at near 20 knots. Mariners encountering this activity can expect wind gusts near 25 knots, moderate to heavy rainfall that will reduce visibilities below 3 miles, and a few lightning strikes. $$ NB
