Through 700 pm, widely scattered showers and a thunderstorm or two will track west northwestward at around 20 knots, through the deep gulf waters off of the Dry Tortugas and mainland Monroe County. The stronger activity will produce wind gusts near 30 knots, blinding downpours, and a rare lightning strike. Elsewhere, a few showers will dot primarily the outer straits off of the Lower and Middle Keys. $$
