Through 7 pm, scattered showers and isolated embedded thunderstorms between Cape Sable and the eastern Straits of Florida near Carysfort Reef Light will move to the west- northwest at around 15 knots. South of Floyd`s Wall Northeast, showers will move north- northwest at near 15 knots. Mariners encountering this activity can expect periods of reduced visibilities in moderate to heavy downpours, wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and a few lightning strikes. On land, island communities between Marathon and Key West, as well as Key Largo could receive around a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rainfall. $$
