.NOW...
Through 530 am, numerous showers with some embedded thunderstorms in
the Straits of Florida will move northeast at near 10 knots towards
the island chain and its nearshore waters. The forward edge of this
line will start to cross through the Middle Keys this hour. Mariners
encountering the stronger portions of this activity can expect bouts
of moderate to heavy rainfall reducing visibilities, wind gusts up
to near 25 knots, and occasional lightning strikes. Island
communities from Long Key to Key Largo may see from a quarter to
three quarters of an inch of additional rainfall.
