Through 845 AM, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will move west to northwest at 15 to 20 knots across the Florida Keys and the surrounding nearshore waters. The strongest activity is located in the SE Gulf between the Dry Tortugas and P Tower. Mariners may encounter wind gusts of near 25 knots, reduced visibilities in brief bouts of moderate to heavy rainfall, and a few lightning strikes. Island communities could see an additional tenth of an inch of rainfall. $$ NB
