Through 230 am, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will move west northwest at 15 to 20 knots from the Florida Straits and Hawk Channel through parts of the Keys island chain, into the Bay and Gulf side waters. Mariners may encounter wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, reduced visibilities in heavy downpours, and occasional lightning strikes. On land, some areas from Islamorada to Key West will see rainfall amounts from one tenth up to one half inch, along with wind gusts up to 30 mph, as the showers and storms move through. $$ Jacobson
