Through 500 PM, a broken outflow boundary of collapsed thunderstorms will spread to the north and northwest across the southwestern Straits of Florida. There remain a few thunderstorms in the eastern flank which will be capable of localized wind gusts near 30 knots, blinding downpours, and bouts of lightning. Movement of the line will be to the northwest to north at 15 to 25 knots, which gives locations closer to the island chain a couple hours to continue to monitor the progress. $$
