...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN ROCK...NORTHERN LOUP...
SOUTHEASTERN BROWN...GARFIELD...HOLT...NORTHEASTERN BLAINE AND
WHEELER COUNTIES THROUGH 345 AM CDT...

At 300 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles southwest of Verdigre to near Calamus
Reservoir State Recreation Area. Movement was east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
O`Neill, Ewing, Chambers, Page, Bartlett, Ericson, Rose, Amelia,
Calamus Reservoir State Recreation Area, Inman, Emmet, Fox Bayou,
Virginia Smith Dam, Carson Lake, Sunfish Lake, Homestead Knolls
Campground, Four Corners, Opportunity, Nunda Shoal Campground, and
Goose Lake State Wildlife Management Area.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 183 between mile markers 134 and 155.
 Highway 20 between mile markers 292 and 328.
 Highway 281 between mile markers 132 and 199.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
north central Nebraska.
