WINNEBAGO...NORTHERN KANE...MCHENRY AND BOONE COUNTIES THROUGH 630 AM
CDT...

At 559 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Marengo to near Davis Junction to Rock
Falls. Movement was southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rockford, Elgin, DeKalb, Crystal Lake, Carpentersville, Algonquin,
Lake in the Hills, McHenry, Belvidere, Woodstock, Huntley, Loves
Park, Machesney Park, Sycamore, Dixon, Roscoe, Fox Lake, Rochelle,
Harvard, Island Lake, South Beloit, Rockton, Marengo, Poplar Grove,
and Genoa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
north central and northeastern Illinois.
