AM CDT...

At 727 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Crystal Lake to near Kingston to near
Polo. Movement was east at 80 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rockford, Elgin, Waukegan, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Hoffman
Estates, DeKalb, Buffalo Grove, Crystal Lake, Carpentersville, North
Chicago, Gurnee, Mundelein, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Round Lake
Beach, McHenry, Belvidere, Vernon Hills, Woodstock, Zion, Huntley,
Grayslake, Libertyville, and Lake Zurich.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
north central and northeastern Illinois.
