.Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 16Z, or 9 AM PDT, a 1029 mb high was
located 900 NM west of Monterey. A 1004 mb thermal low was
northeast of Las Vegas. Hazardous marine conditions, with strong
winds and steep seas, will continue spreading across the coastal
waters today and will continue through the weekend and into early
next week. Gale Force Winds will occur across most of the Outer
Waters, as well as the the Inner Waters north of Point Sal and the
western Santa Barbara Channel. High-end Gale Force Winds will occur
over the Outer Waters.
