990 FNUS54 KMAF 191912 FWFMAF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX 212 PM CDT Thu Sep 19 2024 .DISCUSSION... Good overnight recovery and low ERCs from recent wetting rains will keep fire weather conditions low through next week. Min RH will be above critical for most of the area with the more active weather pattern bringing a chance of showers and storms. Showers and storms are possible this weekend into next week over the area, with gusty and erratic winds accompanying any storms that develop and lightning posing a risk of fire starts in drier fuels. && For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather Service Office.
