...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN UNION...TIPPAH...
CENTRAL BENTON...WEST CENTRAL ALCORN AND SOUTH CENTRAL HARDEMAN
COUNTIES THROUGH 1230 PM CDT...

At 1158 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Gravestown, or 10 miles west of Ripley, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ripley, Blue Mountain, Gravestown, Walnut, Hickory Flat, Ashland,
Falkner, Myrtle, Chalybeate, Murry, Spring Hill, Old Myrtle,
Brownfield, Whitten Town, Pine Grove, Hamilton, Peoples, Bethel, and
Tiplersville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
