Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
245 PM PDT Wed Jun 19 2024

...Gusty westerly winds with low afternoon humidity Saturday and
Sunday east of the Cascades...

.DISCUSSION...Warming and drying trends will continue through the
end of this week into the first part of the weekend. Overall, winds
will be fairly typical in the afternoons/evenings through Friday,
with lighter drainage flows at night. Saturday will be the hottest
day and bring stronger afternoon WSW winds ahead of a dry front,
especially east of the Cascades. This could pose a risk of wind-
driven fire or fire spread should ignitions occur. The front will
move through Saturday night into Sunday, with a marine push west
of the Cascades. This should bring slightly cooler conditions
Sunday into early next week, but winds remain gusty east of the
Cascades on Sunday.
