HYDE...SOUTHEASTERN BEAUFORT...PAMLICO AND NORTH CENTRAL CARTERET
COUNTIES THROUGH 330 PM EDT...

At 257 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from New Holland to near Fairfield Harbour. Movement
was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
New Bern, South River, Merrimon, Gull Rock, New Holland, Florence,
Janeiro, Grantsboro, Nebraska, Great Neck, Whortonsville, Maribel, Nc
Pamlico, Merritt, Swan Quarter Ferry Terminal, Cherry Branch Ferry
Terminal, Fairfield Harbour, Minnesott Beach Ferry, Bayboro, and
Alliance.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
