This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central Florida.

.DAY ONE...Afternoon and tonight.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Isolated lightning storms are possible today. Gusty winds to 40
mph, occasional lightning strikes, and brief heavy rain will
accompany any stronger storms that develop.

.RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT...
There is a Moderate Risk of rip currents at area beaches today.
Always swim near a lifeguard and never swim alone.

.RIVER FLOOD IMPACT...
The Saint Johns River near Astor is forecast to remain in Moderate
Flood Stage into mid week, before falling into Minor Flood Stage by
late next week. However, northerly winds will have the potential to
delay the decline, as well as any heavy rain potential past mid next
week.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Isolated lightning storms are forecast through early this week,
mainly south of Orlando. Brief heavy rain and gusty winds will
accompany any stronger storms.

A moderate to high risk of dangerous rip currents will continue
at the beaches through the upcoming week.

Flooding along the Saint Johns River, particularly at Astor, will
continue through at least this week.

There is a high chance for tropical development in the northwest
Caribbean this week. It is too early to determine what, if any,
impacts this may bring to East Central Florida. However, shower
and lightning storm chances look to increase into the weekend.
Residents and visitors should continue to monitor the forecast and
check back for the latest updates.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed this afternoon and tonight.
