Impacts due to Hurricane Helene will persist through early Friday morning. Residents and visitors should closely monitor the latest forecasts and have multiple ways to receive tornado warnings. Hot temperatures late this week are forecast to produce peak heat indices of 104 to 108 on Friday and Saturday. High coverage of showers and lightning storms persists into this weekend.
