...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN DELTA...SCHOOLCRAFT AND
CENTRAL ALGER COUNTIES THROUGH 230 PM EDT...

At 201 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles east of Chatham to 9 miles north of
Garden Corners to 13 miles south of Escanaba. Movement was east at 55
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Manistique, Munising, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Nahma,
Germfask, Garden, Seney, M-94 between Steuben and Manistique,
Shingleton, Garden Corners, Blaney Park, Steuben, M-28 between
Shingleton and Seney, Point Detour, Isabella, Fayette, Thompson,
Forest Lake, Cusino Lake, and Indian Lake State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
