Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
402 AM MDT Fri Jun 28 2024

.Discussion...

Daily showers and thunderstorms can be expected most days over
the next week with Saturday and Sunday seeing the most widespread
wetting rainfalls of the next 7 days. Locally heavy rainfall will
be capable of producing flash flooding for burn scars, especially
over the weekend should they become directly impacted. Otherwise,
storms will be capable of producing gusty erratic winds and lightning.
Temperatures will remain above normal today, but then drop to near
to slightly below normal over the weekend behind a cold front which
moves through the southeast plains. Temperatures return to above normal
by next week.

Afternoon dispersions will become very good to excellent for most
areas today then returning to poor after sundown. Saturday will
see lower afternoon dispersions with most areas returning to good
to very good.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
