Today and Friday will be active days for showers and thunderstorms with the most likely periods for lightning today occuring from 1 PM to 8 PM. Thunderstorms could be strong with the potential for small hail up to 1 inch in diameter, wind gusts up to 50 mph, locally heavy rainfall and lightning. Localized flash flooding will be possible if the burn area takes a direct hit from a stronger storm. Showers may continue off and on all night though intensities will be weaker. Friday will see more showers and thunderstorms which will carry over into the evening hours. Similar timing, storm strengths and risks can be expected. It will dry out and warm up for the weekend with lighter winds. High based thunderstorms with gusty erratic winds will be possible in the afternoons and evenings. .REST OF TODAY...
