...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT HARNETT...NORTHERN CUMBERLAND
AND SOUTHWESTERN JOHNSTON COUNTIES THROUGH 1230 AM EDT...

At 1135 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles west of Lillington, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lillington, Fort Liberty, Dunn, Angier, Benson, Godwin, Pope AFB,
Spring Lake, Erwin, and Coats.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent
cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
