...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL SCOTLAND...
SOUTHEASTERN ANSON AND SOUTHEASTERN RICHMOND COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM
EDT...

At 222 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles north of Cheraw Municipal Airport, or 10 miles southeast of
Wadesboro, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rockingham, Hamlet, Dobbins Heights, Gibson, Morven, McFarlan, Diggs,
and East Rockingham.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
