...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT VANCE...WARREN...NORTHERN NASH...
GRANVILLE...HALIFAX AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 1230 AM EDT...

At 1126 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Lawrenceville to near Warrenton to
Kittrell. Movement was southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Roanoke Rapids, Henderson, Oxford, Nashville, Louisburg, Warrenton,
Halifax, Franklinton, Norlina, and Dortches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
