CRAWFORD...BARTON...VERNON AND NORTHWESTERN JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM CDT... At 717 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles north of Hume to near Parsons. Movement was east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Pittsburg, Prairie State Park, Nevada, Fort Scott, Lamar, Frontenac, Girard, Arma, Jasper, Marmaton, Liberal, Cherokee, Weir, Alba, Sheldon, Sherman, Mulberry, Scammon, Purcell, and Chicopee.
