489 FZCA72 TJSJ 191752 MWSSJU Marine Weather Statement National Weather Service San Juan PR 152 PM AST Wed Jun 19 2024 AMZ711-712-716-741-742-192300- Atlantic Waters of Puerto Rico and USVI from 10 NM to 19.5N- Coastal Waters of Northern Puerto Rico out 10 NM- Coastal Waters from Cabo San Juan to the waters between Anegada Island and Virgin Gorda and North 10 NM- Mona Passage Southward to 17N- Coastal Waters of Northwestern Puerto Rico out 10 NM- 152 PM AST Wed Jun 19 2024 ...THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE ATLANTIC WATERS AND PASSAGES... At 140 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and frequent lightning. These thunderstorms were located across the Atlantic coastal and offshore waters, and the eastern waters of Puerto Rico and the northern U.S. Virgin Islands. Additional thunderstorms are expected to develop over the western waters of Puerto Rico. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. $$
