402 FNUS75 KSLC 261021 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for New Canyon RX...USFS National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 421 AM MDT Wed Jun 26 2024 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0600 MDT on June 26. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION....Highly anomalous atmospheric moisture remains in place across the area. Showers across western Utah during the early morning are gradually shifting northeast with some gusty outflow winds out of the southwest. These gusty winds with some light rain will be possible through the early morning hours before clearing develops mid morning. Convection will develop during the afternoon and be more widespread today compared to yesterday with multiple rounds of storms possible as convection persists through the evening and into the overnight hours Wednesday night. Convection overnight will gradually weaken and become more showery in nature with less convective parameters. Any storms that do move over the area will be capable of producing gusty outflow winds and heavy rain. More storms are expected to develop on Thursday afternoon. If skies are able to sufficiently clear to allow temperatures to rise then convection on Thursday afternoon has the potential to be stronger in nature with gusty winds and hail possible. .TODAY...
