Spot Forecast for Little Twist...Richfield Interagency Fire Center

Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1800 MDT on June 26.
If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather
Service.

.DISCUSSION...Little Twist will reside along the periphery of a
moist sub-tropical airmass to the east, and much drier air
impinging from the west on Thursday. Still anticipating enough
moisture to linger for early initiation of buildups by late in the
morning, with focused window of shower/storm potential lasting
through mid afternoon. Gusty erratic winds/lightning the primary
threats with any storm crossing the site during that time.
Otherwise, RH trends are expected to begin creeping down during
the day, but modestly gusty west-southwest winds will remain the
norm with the most consistent gusts focused during the peak
heating hours in the afternoon.

Much drier conditions will move in from the west for Friday. Look
for a noted drop in RH trends Friday with strong solar under
clear skies. Wind trends looking to drop slightly as well, though
p.m. gusts into the mid to upper teens from the southwest are
expected to become more frequent than not during the peak heating
hours.
