.DISCUSSION...Terrain-based cumulus buildups are once again expected to develop
this afternoon, with little more than an isolated, light
afternoon shower as moisture is already in the process of exiting
the area. Dry northwest flow will develop on Monday afternoon in
the wake of a dry cold front that is forecast to pass through the
area Monday morning. While little change in temperatures will move
into the area in the wake of this frontal passage, RH is expected
to drop a few percent for Monday, then level off through midweek
before steadily dropping through the remainder of the workweek.
The best overnight recovery is expected through Tuesday (greater
than 80%), but overnight recovery will begin to lessen by midweek,
dropping into the 60% range by late in the week, with min
afternoon humidity dropping down to around 15-20%. Expect steadily
warming temperatures through Friday as well. The forecast becomes
less certain as we head into next weekend, when the possibility
of grazing systems with an associated dry cold front may pass
through the area. Another possibility is that high pressure
ridging holds serve, maintaining dry but mild conditions.
