Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
114 PM EDT Sun Jun 23 2024

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

With long period swells still impacting the local beaches from Alberto,
and the current tropical disturbance in the Bay of Campeche, expect a high
risk for rip currents to continue through Tuesday. These swells are also
accompanied by 2-3 foot surf heights, which are only adding to the
dangerous rip current threat at all beaches this weekend and the during
the early portion of the work week. Beach goers should take note of all
beach flags before stepping foot in the water. Bay County beaches are
now flying Double Red flags, which means the water is closed. All
beach goers at Bay county should remain out of the water if heading to
the beach.

Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

Walton........................Red
Bay...........................Double Red
State Park Gulf Beaches.......Red
West Facing Gulf Beaches......Red
South Facing Gulf Beaches.....Red
Franklin......................Red
