Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
508 AM EDT Sat Jun 15 2024

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Early this morning, offshore buoys were observing 1-foot seas and
light breezes, supporting little more than a moderate risk of rip
currents today. Development of a nearshore afternoon seabreeze will
increase surf heights to near 2 feet, but these will be lower-energy
locally-generated wind waves.

Surf heights and rip risk will increase sharply tonight and Sunday
morning, in response to development of a large area of moderate
southeast breezes over the eastern Gulf. Monday through Wednesday
will be characterized by a prolonged period of unseasonably strong
easterly breezes, which will keep the rip current risk squarely in
the high category.
