...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MESA AND
SOUTHWESTERN GARFIELD COUNTIES THROUGH 300 PM MDT...

At 230 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Fruita, or 12 miles northwest of Grand Junction, moving northeast at
20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fruita, Mack, Loma, and Redlands.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 11 and 23.
 Colorado 139 between mile markers 1 and 9.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
