At 1203 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 3 miles south of Agate to 5 miles east of Matheson to near Rush, or along a line extending from 57 miles east of Denver to 11 miles southwest of Limon to 37 miles east of Colorado Springs. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Limon, Hugo, Genoa, Agate, Kutch, and Matheson. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
