...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR EASTERN PROVIDENCE AND BRISTOL
COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for
southeastern Massachusetts...and Rhode Island.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN BRISTOL AND NEWPORT COUNTIES...

At 350 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Swansea to near Tiverton to Newport, moving east
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Fall River, Dartmouth, Newport, Somerset, Portsmouth, Middletown,
Swansea, Tiverton, Westport, Rehoboth, Freetown, Dighton, Berkley,
and Little Compton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
