...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN ESSEX...SOUTHEASTERN WORCESTER...NORFOLK...
SUFFOLK...SOUTHEASTERN MIDDLESEX AND NORTHWESTERN PLYMOUTH
COUNTIES...

At 133 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Wakefield to Newton to Medfield, moving east at 35
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. Several reports of downed trees
         and powerlines have been reported between 125 and 130 PM in
         the towns of Cambridge, Arlington and Medford.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Boston, Cambridge, Quincy, Lynn, Newton, Somerville, Framingham,
Waltham, Malden, Brookline, Medford, Weymouth, Revere, Peabody,
Arlington, Everett, Salem, Beverly, Woburn, and Braintree.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
