Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. GMZ100-250915- 326 PM CDT Tue Sep 24 2024 .SYNOPSIS...Ridge of high pressure across the north half of the Gulf will maintain generally favorable conditions through Wednesday. Tropical Storm Helene is expected to become Hurricane Helene while moving north-northeast through the eastern Gulf of Mexico later Wednesday through Thursday evening. Swells will bring high waves and seas across the Gulf beginning Wednesday night and continuing through Friday. A weak front will cross the waters late Thursday with weak high pressure returning Friday, continuing through Saturday.
