  Boone Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  East Fork Des Moines River near Algona affecting Humboldt and
  Kossuth Counties.

  East Fork Des Moines River at Dakota City affecting Humboldt
  County.

  Des Moines River at Fort Dodge affecting Webster County.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Humboldt affecting Humboldt County.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Emmetsburg affecting Pocahontas and
  Palo Alto Counties.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville affecting Emmet County.

.Record or near record flooding is anticipated along the West Fork
Des Moines River at Estherville, Emmetsburg, and Humboldt.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...The East Fork Des Moines River near Algona, or from
  Buffalo Creek near Burt to Lotts Creek near Livermore.

* WHEN...Until Sunday, June 30.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water affects portions of US 18. Water
  enters the parking lot of the shopping center north of US 18 and
  west of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 20.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.8
    feet early Monday morning. It will then fall below flood
    stage Saturday, June 29.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Des Moines River near Stratford, or from the Boone
  River to near the City of Boone.

* WHEN...From late Sunday night until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water affects 157th St on the west side of
  Fraser.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Monday morning and continue rising to a crest of 24.4
    feet early Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING TO EARLY FRIDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The East Fork Des Moines River at Dakota City, or from
  Highway C26 to the West Fork Des Moines River.

* WHEN...From Monday morning to early Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water affects the city park and large
  amounts of agricultural land. The City of Dakota City is situated
  on locally high ground and is generally not affected by flooding
  at this stage.
  At 22.0 feet, Water affects the Dakota City bridge just south of
  town.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late Monday morning to a crest of 21.6 feet Tuesday morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
  This approaches or exceed the flood of record.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Humboldt, or from Joe
  Reasoner Dam to the East Fork Des Moines River.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, The Murray bridge is closed west of
  Rutland. Sandbagging occurs at the water treatment plant.
  Groundwater threatens the pump room at the water plant.
  At 14.5 feet, Water affects houses along W River Dr.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.0
    feet Wednesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.4 feet on 04/14/1969.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Emmetsburg, or from near
  Graettinger to Cylinder Creek near West Bend.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Closure of Iowa 4 is likely. Water
  threatens some of the airport runways. Water flows into Boggess
  gravel pits.
  At 14.5 feet, US 18 is closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.4
    feet early Tuesday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

* WHERE...The Des Moines River at Fort Dodge, or from the municipal
  power dam to Lehigh.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Water affects campgrounds in the
  downstream parks between Fort Dodge and Lehigh.
  At 17.0 feet, Water reaches the bottom of the railroad trestle
  approach.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    just after midnight tonight and continue rising to a crest of
    17.6 feet early Wednesday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    16.8 feet on 06/27/2010.

  - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5
    feet Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    17.7 feet on 04/12/1969.
