...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Des Moines River near Stratford affecting Hamilton, Webster and
  Boone Counties.

  Des Moines River at Fort Dodge affecting Webster County.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Humboldt affecting Humboldt County.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Emmetsburg affecting Palo Alto and
  Pocahontas Counties.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville affecting Emmet County.

  East Fork Des Moines River near Algona affecting Kossuth and
  Humboldt Counties.

.River levels continue to slowly fall across upper Des Moines River
basin. However water levels near previous records are still
occurring at Humboldt.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation through 7 AM Wednesday.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Des Moines River near Stratford, or from the Boone
  River to near the City of Boone.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water affects 157th St on the west side of
  Fraser.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 19.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late this
    afternoon. It will then rise back above flood stage early
    Wednesday morning and reach a crest of 19.7 feet Thursday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The East Fork Des Moines River near Algona, or from
  Buffalo Creek near Burt to Lotts Creek near Livermore.

* WHEN...Until Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Water threatens US 169 south of Algona and
  affects some rural roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 17.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late this
    afternoon. It will then rise back above flood stage early
    Wednesday afternoon and reach a crest of 17.2 feet early
    Thursday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
  Current observations are near the flood of record.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Humboldt, or from Joe
  Reasoner Dam to the East Fork Des Moines River.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Flooding affects streets from S 13th Ave
  southward.
  At 14.5 feet, Water affects houses along W River Dr.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 15.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to continue a slow fall, but
    remain in major or moderate flood stage through much of this
    week.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.2 feet on 07/13/1993.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Emmetsburg, or from near
  Graettinger to Cylinder Creek near West Bend.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Closure of Iowa 4 is likely. Water
  threatens some of the airport runways. Water flows into Boggess
  gravel pits.
  At 14.0 feet, Sandbagging operations occur for businesses along US
  18 on the west side of town in and near the flood plain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 14.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to slowly fall, but still
    remain in moderate flood stage through much of this week.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    13.8 feet on 06/30/1993.

* WHERE...The Des Moines River at Fort Dodge, or from the municipal
  power dam to Lehigh.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water affects residences along the west
  bank of the river in Lehigh and threatens industries near Phinney
  Park.
  At 14.0 feet, Water affects some access roads along the river in
  Fort Dodge as well as in Lehigh.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 14.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to slowly fall, but remain
    above minor flood stage through much of this week.
  - Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    14.1 feet on 09/23/2018.

  Iowa-Minnesota border to near Wallingford.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.5 feet, Water affects residences along W 1st St
  north and south of Iowa 9...and along Valley Dr.
  At 15.0 feet, Several evacuations and road closures may occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 15.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river should continue to fall, but still
    remain above major flood stage through the middle of the
    week.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.5 feet on 06/08/1953.
