...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

Nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sturgeon Bay...
Open waters of Lake Michigan from Rock Island Passage to Sturgeon
Bay...

At 717 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 13 nm south of
Rock Island to 6 nm southwest of Detroit Island to near Eagle Bluff
Light, moving southeast at 15 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Cana Island Light and Rowleys Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
