.Marianas Synopsis...
Partly cloudy skies are seen across the Marianas with a trade wind
trough producing spotty showers east of the waters.

&&

.Discussion...
Maintained the previous forecast of scattered showers for Guam,
today and tonight. Satellite indicated spotty showers east of the
Marianas around 18Z. Possible we may few more showers for the CNMI as
the trade-wind trough passes through, but kept showers isolated for
today. Scattered showers look more likely for Guam as the more
convective weather is seen to the south. Also the TUTT producing some
activity near Yap with higher moisture to the south.

&&

.Marine...
Gentle to moderate trade winds are expected to continue for the next
day or so, then light to gentle and then becoming southeast around
the weekend. Altimetry observed seas between 3 to 5 feet just west of
the coastal waters. Made one small change, decreased the secondary
northwest swell as Tropical Storm Ewiniar is weakening and moving off
quickly, and expecting another foot decrease tomorrow.

&&

.Eastern Micronesia including Chuuk...
ASCAT winds show gentle to moderate trade winds over the region,
along with some areas of weak surface convergence. The weak surface
convergence that brought showers and storms to Majuro has moved
westward towards Kosrae and Pohnpei today. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms will be possible today and tomorrow in Kosrae
and Pohnpei. The surface trough will continue to move westward
towards Chuuk by Friday into Saturday. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms will be possible for Chuuk as well.

Combined seas of 4 to 6 ft should prevail across the region, except
seas of 5 to 7 ft could build across the northern RMI this weekend.
Kalo Buoy shows combined seas mainly 3 to 5 feet with occasional
bigger waves on the east side of Majuro.

&&

.Western Micronesia for Yap and Palau...
Yap and Koror Palau; A weak surface trough is approaching Yap and
Palau this morning with a Tropical Upper Level Tropospheric Trough
(TUTT) extended towards Yap. Scattered showers will be possible
across Yap and Palau today with isolated thunderstorms possible in
Yap. Models continue to show a drier trend across Yap and Palau
beginning this weekend into next week after the current surface
trough moves through.

Gentle to moderate trades and benign seas conditions are expected to
continue across the region through the weekend. Palau/Ngaraard Buoy
shows combined seas mainly between 2 to 3 feet.
