At 812 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Pecks Ridge, or 7 miles southwest of Flemingsburg, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Flemingsburg, Pecks Ridge, Triplett, Tilton, Muses Mills, Hillsboro, Craintown, Sherburne, Wallingford, Plummers Landing, Cowan, Poplar Plains, Elizaville, Waltz, Goddard, and Ewing. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding.
