The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD...
  Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point to North Beach MD...
  Chester River to Queenstown MD...
  Eastern Bay...
  Patapsco River including Baltimore Harbor...

* Until 645 PM EDT.

* At 520 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 12 nm west of Fort
  Smallwood Park, moving east at 25 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by
           suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

* Locations impacted include...
  Pinehurst, North Point State Park, Fort Smallwood Park, Hart Miller
  Island, Chester River, Gibson Island, Bodkin Point, Tolchester
  Beach, Greenbury Point, Love Point, Sandy Point State Park,
  Baltimore Light, Severn River, Matapeake, Chesapeake Bay Bridge,
  Sevenfoot Knoll, Kent Narrows Bridge, and Annapolis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
