...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
S of Cape Lookout NC to Surf City NC out to 20 nm...
S of Ocracoke Inlet NC to Cape Lookout NC out to 20 nm...

At 444 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Beaufort to Ar342 to near New River Inlet, moving
southeast at 10 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Atlantic Beach, The Center Of Bogue Sound, Salter Path, Ar342,
Beaufort Inlet, The Vicinity Of Pine Knoll Shores, Ar320, Bogue
Inlet, Ar355, The Vicinity Of Emerald Isle Bridge, Ar345, Beaufort,
Cape Lookout Bight, Emerald Isle, Ar315, Harkers Island, The Turning
Basin, Ar340, Ar330, and The Morehead City-Atlantic Beach Bridge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
